Phase II includes securing the local land use permits and approvals from Pasco County. If approved by the county, the local land use permits and approvals will include conditions that Angelo’s Recycled Materials has committed to make to Pasco County, without any financial obligations undertaken by Pasco County or it's residents including:
- Acceptance of the first 25,000 tons per year from the County free of charge
- Development of a recycling center and processing facility to handle all County recycled materials, with the County receiving payment from Angelo’s for the delivery of these commodities
- A disposal fee of $27 per ton for County materials in excess of the first 25,000 tons, which are free
- Road and intersection improvements to Janmar Road and US 98
- Commitment to accept (per FDEP approval) and process materials excavated from the 40 acre unlined East Pasco landfill, at a reduced disposal rate, that is adjacent to our proposed facility and a documented source of groundwater pollution
- Collection of landfill gas (methane) for the production of Green Electricity, a renewable energy source, reducing our dependence on foreign fuels and reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Commitment to enter into an agreement to prohibit the acceptance of waste by rail
